My Favorite Holiday Recipes

Not sure what to make for your family over the holidays? While they each carry a very different aura, for my family, both the brunch and dinner on Christmas day are important meals. It's a lot to get done when placed on top of decorating the house, making sure your guests are comfortable, finding the perfect presents for your loved ones,

and

spreading holiday cheer.

I've rounded up some of my favorite recipes to help make sure you are prepared.

As kids, our brunch spread was always the thing we tried to rush through as quickly as we possibly could, my cousins and I eager to clear our plates to see what *Santa* had left for us near the fireplace. On the flipside, our parents had just spent majority of the night pretending to be that said *Santa* after tucking us into bed, and now wanted to leisurely enjoy some downtime with a delicious and refueling meal. With so many kids in the house and the desire to spend minimal time focused on cooking a breakfast, this dish has been the star of our Christmas breakfast since way back when.  Now, twenty some years later, this dish is still our go-to on Christmas morning. However, instead of rushing through each bite and into the next room, my adult-filled family now serves alongside some Bloody Mary's or mimosas and spends hours enjoying each other's company around the kitchen table.

For dinner, we are usually in the mood for a filling, comforting, and down right delicious meal to cap off one of our favorite days of the year. For us, this always involves a few appetizers to pick at while enjoying cocktails and recapping the holiday season, and then sitting around the dining room table with a spread that includes a warming soup, some type of meat, and lots of vegetables.

DINNER:

A meat & cheese board to start. Followed by a

Curry Butternut Squash Soup

 alongside either

Filet Mignon with Roasted Vegetables

or a rack of lamb (served with a

Full Roasted Cauliflower

or

Sautéed Mushrooms & Kale
